Under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and similar state regulations (such as VCDPA and CPA), California residents have the right to request that businesses limit the use and disclosure of their Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) to only what is strictly necessary to perform the services or provide the goods reasonably expected by an average consumer.When you exercise this right, we will restrict the use of your sensitive personal information beyond the explicitly permitted business purposes set forth under state law.
2. What is Sensitive Personal Information (SPI)?

Please note that a business is not required to limit the use of sensitive personal information if it is used exclusively for certain narrowly tailored purposes exempt under 11 CCR §7027, including:Performing services or providing goods reasonably expected by an average consumer.Preventing, detecting, and investigating security incidents, fraud, or illegal actions.Ensuring the physical safety of natural persons.Short-term, transient use (such as non-personalized contextual advertising).Verifying or maintaining the quality or safety of our financial services and systems.
4. How to Submit Your Request to Limit
If your data is used for purposes beyond the permitted exemptions above and you wish to limit our use of your sensitive personal information, you can submit your request through the following methods:

5. What Happens After You Submit a Request?
Processing Time: Upon receiving your verifiable request, we will process and restrict the use of your sensitive personal information within 15 business days.
No Discrimination: Exercising this right will not result in any discriminatory treatment, denial of services, alteration of pricing, or reduction in the quality of services provided by DFR.
12-Month Restriction Rule: Once you exercise your right to limit, we are required to wait at least 12 months before asking for your consent to use your sensitive personal information for broader purposes, unless you explicitly revoke your choice.
